About

With over 25 years of experience , working with a plethora of populations I tailor my treatment for each individual patient. As a result of implementing several of the proven therapies, I have been successful in utilizing the appropriate tool when needed. Since opening my practice in 2012, I have won " Best of San Antonio" for Psychotherapist, Mental Health Provider, Marriage Counselor and Best Couples' Counselor for three consecutive years. I have several certifications which compliment my treatment of couples and individuals alike. One of the most useful has been my studies in Trauma under Bessel van de Kolk, I rarely see a patient without any trauma history, and it is critical to know what to do in such cases. Because I hold a Diplomate, the highest license in my field, I am required to obtain twice the continuing education hours as my colleagues. This is just one way that has set me apart from other therapists. Graduation from Tulane was only the beginning when it comes to being a therapist. I became very inspired when introduced to the Gottman Method. I must have attended every training I could as fast as I could. The method same perfect sense to me; it is not only practical , proven to work, I enjoy the process- whether the relationship seems doomed, or just needs some work in certain areas, I love to see how this method is so helpful to couples. I am able to see their sense of relief, increase in control, and confidence increase as they learn the tools that make relationships work. It is that simple.
