About

I have a passion for helping people! I bring a lifetime of experiences gained through a variety of jobs, living on the East coast and on the West Coast and back to the East coast, raising three daughters and now the joys of grand-parenting, and the ups and downs of a 30 year marriage.

I made the decision to pursue my passion later in life.  Through the Marriage and Family Counseling program at the University of SC, I discovered my life's purpose in helping children, parents, couples, and families to heal through therapy. I am a lifelong student and continue to challenge myself with learning everyday. As of March 2025, I am proud to announce I am a Certified Gottman Therapist.

My counseling style reflects a mixture of the art and science of therapeutic change. Empathy, compassion, and intuition helps me to connect with people while my education and training guides me in understanding and helping to facilitate change. Through non-judgmental listening I foster hope and understanding and with research-based techniques I facilitate effective communication, conflict management, and teach new skills to increase emotional connection between partners.  I take my role as your clinician seriously and I am dedicated to supporting your therapeutic process.
