I believe in marriage and am honored when couples welcome me into their story and allow me to serve as a guide for them to find connection again. For some, marriage can be one of the hardest relationships in life, but I also believe it can be a place of love, refuge, and support. My goal is to come along side couples to help them find help, hope, and healing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a licensed ordained minister. My education includes, BA University of Oklahoma, MA Counseling Psychology (Southern Nazarene University), and MA Christian Education (Dallas Theological Seminary). I am Level 2 trained in Gottman and have completed all Core Skills levels of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am in the process of becoming a Certified Couples and Sex Therapist and am a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
I place high value on the client and find it a great honor to be a safe place for others. The majority of my practice specializes in counseling marriages through crisis or issues like infidelity, pornography addiction, intense conflict, decreased sexual intimacy, and more. I work with couples to instill hope, understand unhealthy conflict and communication, learn new patterns, find healing and forgiveness, and rekindle the friendship and intimacy that has been lost over the years. While therapy can help you find insight, the real change occurs when both partners are committed to the process and work outside of therapy to build a new marriage. It is my hope that through the process of marriage therapy, you will come to remember and value how out of all the people in the world, you two found each other and built a home and family together.
I am inclusive to couples of all ages, stages, and orientation. If you are seeking faith-based therapy, I am able to integrate sound biblical theology with my psychology training.
