About

My approach consists of:

Respectful teamwork. The solutions to your struggles will ultimately come from you. I can help you unblock your solutions. My approach is nonjudgmental, but active.
Clearheaded therapy. I create a written treatment plan for you to review. No more guessing what your therapist is up to.
Sanity. I limit the number of clients I see so I can offer you my full attention. I won't burn out on you.
A positive focus. I'll build on your strengths. My eye is on the future and what you CAN do, not the past.

What my clients have said about me:

"Ken is a wonderfully unique therapist. He's given me tools I will use for the rest of my life."
"Ken is strong because he is not afraid to go into the darkest depths, and delicate because he holds what he finds so carefully. This is the best possible combination any therapist could have."

You can find other testimonials on my website. I love my work. I'm inspired by people's determination and ability to find the solutions that work for them. I don't believe therapy is about fixing broken people, so I won't try to fix you. Besides using exercises from the Gottman perspective, I will offer new perspectives, useful homework, and skills in mastering anxiety to help you move out of being stuck and into possibility and growth. Whatever approach I take, I will always focus on what is working for you.
