About

I work primarily with couples whose relationships are under significant strain, including partners struggling with high conflict, infidelity, or deep uncertainty about whether the relationship can continue. Many of the couples who come to see me arrive at a breaking point—after years of painful conflict, betrayal, or when one partner is already wondering if it may be time to leave.

I am a Certified Gottman Therapist and the founder of The Northampton Center for Couples Therapy, a practice devoted exclusively to helping couples navigate relationship distress. Located in Northampton, Massachusetts, I work with couples from throughout Western Massachusetts and the greater Boston area, many of whom seek out specialized couples therapy.

My work is grounded in the Gottman Method, an approach informed by decades of research on what helps relationships succeed or fail. In therapy, we focus on slowing down painful interaction patterns, helping each partner feel more understood, and creating the emotional safety that makes real change possible. Often the most meaningful change begins when couples are willing to step toward the places that hurt the most, rather than continuing to move away from them.

I also work with couples who are uncertain about whether to remain together through discernment counseling, a structured process designed to help partners thoughtfully consider the future of their relationship.

In addition to ongoing therapy, I offer extended sessions and couples intensives. These longer meetings can be especially helpful for couples in acute distress who want to step out of their day-to-day conflict patterns and focus more deeply on the work of understanding and repair.

Couples therapy is often difficult, but it can also be profoundly meaningful. With the right support, many couples are able to move beyond entrenched cycles of conflict and rediscover a sense of connection, respect, and possibility in their relationship.
