I am passionate about the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and
use a highly relational approach when working with you to help your relationship. Creating a safe place for you to talk about challenging issues and express painful feelings is my highest priority. Combining gentle confrontation that facilitates growth with a high level of empathy and caring really helps me develop a good therapy relationship with my couples. My love for my work and my confidence in the power of therapy to help people improve their relationships and enhance their quality of life guides the work we will do together.
Relationships are hard. I wish that I had learned the Gottman ideas and interventions a long time ago as they would have helped my marriage and parenting back then, but I am grateful to have learned them when I did. In addition to my private practice, I am the clinical director of NUhope Community Counseling Center in Kirkland, WA, where I supervise therapists who have taken Gottman Levels 1 & 2 training.
