About

Do you feel misunderstood or lonely within your relationship? Are you having the same fight over and over, without resolution? Do you feel a growing distance between you and your partner, despite your efforts to try and get closer?

Relationships are hard! Even the healthiest relationships require work. I am a licensed psychologist with a passion for working with couples. I have specialized training and research experience in couples therapy, which has focused on understanding how couples can deepen their emotional connection work together (rather than against each other) to address problems.

My approach to couples therapy is based on a combination of well researched methods, clinical experience and intuition, & understanding your unique background & strengths. I consider myself to be an "active" therapist and would describe my therapeutic style as warm & genuine while also being honest & direct.

If you are considering whether it might be time to begin couples therapy, I encourage you take the next step and invest in the health of your relationship. Couples therapy starts with identifying relationship patterns that may be contributing to ongoing problems, better understanding each partner’s experience within the relationship, & determining areas of strength. We then collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to address your specific concerns & goals.

Couples therapy can help you learn effective communication strategies, make conflict constructive rather than destructive, rebuild a sense of trust and intimacy after betrayal, and reconnect to the reasons you fell in love with one other in the first place. Improving the quality of your relationship may also help you feel more supported, respected, and appreciated in your everyday life.

Please call or email so we can discuss your concerns and how I may be able to help you.
