Not currently accepting new couples. Couples begin therapy for reasons ranging from "We're doing okay but could use a little help in a few areas," to "We are falling apart and aren't sure we will make it." Wherever you fall on that spectrum, from a bump in the road to what feels like rock bottom, couples counseling can help. I see couples who are worn out by life, by work, by parenting, by the lingering impacts of a pandemic...They feel distant and constantly odds with one another. Repetitive conflict, defensiveness, misunderstandings, & lack of appreciation are taking their toll and couples wonder if this is as good as it gets, is this the best we can hope for? Utilizing the research of Dr.'s John & Julie Gottman, I help couples gain confidence that they can hope for more. In our work together we focus on changing unhealthy patterns, expanding dialogue, increase understanding of one another's perspective, rekindling friendship & passion, & building a teamwork approach to creating the relationship you both desire! For couples unsure about staying together, I offer sessions specific to helping you gain clarity and confidence about your next steps. Our work together is done via weekly sessions or Couples Intensives - which are marathon sessions during which get a lot done in a condensed, focused period of time.
