Warm, dynamic, personable, and engaging. Lisa Kratz's counselling style is thoughtful, practical, and helpful. Lisa has a master's degree in counselling, a bachelor's degree in communication and has completed extensive additional training in; EMDR, Response-Based Practice, Solution-Focused Counselling, and PREP 8.0 proven-effective skills-based relationship therapy.
Lisa and her husband are celebrating their twenty-eighth anniversary, and they have two grown children. Lisa has had a lot of experience working with students and young adults. Her knowledge as a parent and a spouse adds to her understanding of relationship dynamics. She is a relationship expert.
Lisa has a solution-focused approach and uses various therapies to assist her clients with loss, grief, communication, relationships, unhappiness, symptoms of anxiety, and career/life issues. Lisa aims to have each client leave sessions with a sense of hope/optimism about their relationship with themselves and others.
Note: Often, in heterosexual couples, the male partner is "being dragged" to counselling and is worried that a female counsellor will "take sides" with the female partner. Lisa doesn't take sides and views the couple's relationship as her client. So, women and men can feel comfortable knowing that Lisa is dedicated to helping them both.
