I believe everyone yearns to be appreciated, loved, respected and understood, especially in the eyes of a significant other. However, achieving these desires can be very challenging at times as relationships can frequently encounter negative interactions that over time become destructive.

Have you ever wondered how a simple expression of concern can escalate into a verbal confrontation?

Do you ever feel angry, disappointed, lonely or insignificant in your relationship?

Have you lost the deep level of connection you once had with your loved one?

As a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals and couples who are seeking knowledge and skills to improve their relationships. Research has shown, having the right skills can significantly improve interpersonal connections, and can lead to healing and growth for both partners.

I offer services for pre-marital, marital and individuals who are in committed relationships. I use the research based findings and treatment interventions of Dr.'s John and Julie Gottman Ph.D., as a roadmap to help individuals achieve healthier interactions. As such, I am a level 3 trained Gottman Method therapist and a Certified Gottman Seven Principles Educator.

I also work with individuals experiencing anger, stress, anxiety, workplace distress and depression. My treatment interventions are guided by Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused therapy. Additionally, I incorporate the skills of coaching, having received training from MentorCoach, a coach training school that integrates evidence based coaching techniques with Positive Psychology; and HeartMath, an organization that researches the relationship between stress, emotions and health, and offers ground breaking interventions and tools such as their biofeedback devices.

Therapy is individualized and tailored to the needs of each client or couple. Therapy sessions are generally short term where clients typically reach their treatment goals by the twelfth session. However, longer term therapy is available as warranted. My style is direct, yet compassionate, and I seek to establish a warm collaborative relationship with my clients.

I earned a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Boston University.

My private practice is located in the South Park district of downtown Los Angeles. I provide a supportive environment and I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
