About

Hi there! My private practice is currently located in Pasadena. When I first decided to go into the counseling field, it was my dream to use the Gottman method to work with couples. That is currently the focus of my private practice. I work with couples on reconnecting and working through their marital difficulties in a gentle, nonjudgmental and effective manner. I also teach premarital couples and individuals the skills to help them find or maintain a healthy and happy relationship. In addition, I hold workshops on relationship skills and workshops to help couples connect with each other. Helping couples heal and individuals find love is a vocation for me and I treat it as such.

As an alumni of Stanford University, I have always been drawn to empirically validated treatment approaches for therapy. In my work with children, families and parents in the past, I have relied on other empirically validated treatment modalities such as Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Evidence indicating the lasting effectiveness of treatment is the reason that I have been working toward my certification in the Gottman Method.

I understand that difficulties in our marriages can be a very personal and sensitive issue. Knowing this, I treat my clients with the utmost respect, warmth and kindness to ensure that they know they are valued and their process is respected. I am truly grateful to be a witness to a couple's journey in spite of the difficulties they may encounter along the way. I am a firm believer in the statement, "Nothing worth having was gotten easily". Relationships take work and sometimes we need a little help to get to the place we want to be.
