About

I have experience and special interest in working with intercultural couples, couples recovering from infidelity or other trauma, couples in recovery from substance use disorders, and couples who have been together a while but have grown apart and would like to reconnect. I integrate Bowen Family Systems Theory and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in my work, while remaining faithful to the Gottman Method structure and approach. My style is directive and warm. Clients have told me they appreciate my insight, honesty, humor, and authentic support. I believe there are neither heroes nor villains in couple therapy and the best outcomes require willingness by each person to look at and start to change themselves first and foremost.
