I have been counselling individuals, couples and groups on a range of personal and work related issues for over 30 years. My aim is to help clients in creating meaningful lives and relationships for themselves and to find solutions and alleviate distress.
I will assist you in assuming control of your life by developing new perspectives, insights and awareness. We will look at developing your skills to resolve issues and make decisions; deal with uncomfortable feelings and emotions; manage difficult emotional experiences effectively; and explore personal resources.
While counselling is not a magic cure, it can clarify problems, help in their resolution and provide support in painful and difficult times.
I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies including Gottman model for Couples Therapy, Emotion Coaching for Parents, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused/Brief Therapy. Approaches will be integrated and tailored to meet your specific and varying needs and circumstances.
