Mee-Hyea Kim, MA, LPC earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clark University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Centenary College. Mee-Hyea is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Modern Psychoanalysis. She specializes in helping clients navigate relationship conflicts, life transitions, issues with poor self esteem, anger, impulsivity, and trauma.
Mee-Hyea prides herself in working with children, adults, and couples from all religions, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that provides a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment which allows for exploration of all emotional experiences, thoughts and feelings.
Mee-Hyea will listen to your story, help you navigate through past traumas and experiences, get to the root of symptoms and guide you through the process of breaking free from destructive and repetitive patterns. She believes that by overcoming unhealthy defense mechanisms, teaching mindfulness techniques, healthy coping skills, building increased insight and awareness into these patterns leads to emotional growth, emotional wellbeing and mental resilience.
Mee-Hyea facilitates weekly sessions helping clients address their challenges and offers free 15 minute phone consultations upon request.
