He served in Infantry, Artillery, Aviation, Medical, and Installation assignments in various locations including Alaska, Korea, Egypt, and Iraq. Mike’s crisis ministry background allows him to bring a trauma-informed background to his work with STCH. Another part of his ministry in the military was to work with Couples and Families in counseling or in-depth weekend retreat settings. While counseling as a Chaplain, Mike provided unconditional regard for a wide diversity of individuals, couples, or groups seeking his advice. Mike was endorsed as a Chaplain by both the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and later by the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Mike is an active member of FBC, San Antonio. He is a frequent supply and interim pastor in the San Antonio area.
