About
My practice stands apart because I begin my work with couples through intensives, also known as "marathon therapy." Through his years of experience, John Gottman discovered that this approach yielded the best outcomes, and he began exclusively conducting marathon sessions.
I offer sessions in three-hour increments, ranging from a morning or afternoon to a full twelve-hour weekend. In this concentrated time frame, we achieve the equivalent of months of traditional weekly one-hour sessions. Like Dr. Gottman, I’ve found that marathon therapy fosters more accelerated and transformative progress, allowing couples to dive deeper and make meaningful, lasting changes.
I specialize in working with couples navigating trust issues. With years of experience helping partners move through betrayal trauma, I guide them in rebuilding trust and creating the next chapter of their lives together. The Gottman Therapy method, renowned for its effectiveness in addressing complex challenges, is central to my approach.
In addition to trust and betrayal work, I also help couples focus on areas such as sexuality and intimacy, connection, communication, parenting, finances, healing from grief, and navigating issues with extended family.
My goal is to share what I’ve learned from research about what makes happy couples thrive and the behaviors that predict divorce. I’ll teach you these skills and coach you through practicing them so you can confidently apply them in your relationship without needing ongoing therapy.
My therapeutic style is direct, warm, and often funny. Clients describe me as empathetic yet a straight shooter—I’ll always let you know what I think.
Together, we’ll work to disarm verbal conflicts, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, break through stagnation, and build greater empathy and understanding in your relationship.
