I see clients M T Th F and some weekends.
I am considered an an "out of network" provider and paid by PPO insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of service, but we will bill your insurance so you can be reimbursed as a courtesy.
~I believe we are happiest when our consciousness about ourselves and our world is growing, when our relationships are kindly, full of laughter, and secure, and when we are doing work that's stimulating and enjoyable.~
I offer individual, couples, pre-marital, relationship, and divorce recovery psychotherapy, as well as groups and workshops. I’m a Certified Gottman Couple’s Therapist and an Art & Science of Love (1 & 2) Workshop Leader. As a Gottman Method Master Trainer, I teach Levels 1, 2, and 3 clinical trainings and am a Certification Track Consultant. I’m also certified in EMDR, am a longtime teacher/trainer of Voice Dialogue, and have training in Emotion-Focused Therapy and Imago work. My original training was in cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am client-centered and my perspective is generally holistic/transpersonal.
Since the work of therapy, itself, can seem pretty daunting, I prefer to work in more casual (than formal) surroundings. My office resembles a comfortable living room/library and my very sociable, allergy-friendly, non-shedding dogs come to work with me every day. I suspect that, for some clients, they may be more therapeutic than I am!
Because I love teaching and mentoring and working with others, I supervise MFT interns and post-docs and run a multi-specialty group practice.
I work with adults, couples & groups. I do ASL workshops, Comm group, and Voice Dialogue trainings.
