About

Neil Sampson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State. He has been providing counseling services for the past 10 years and has worked with a range of ages and demographics. Neil enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples and individuals. Neil has worked in many different environments, from Inpatient Hospitals to Private Practice locations.

Most recently, Neil has completed Level III Training of The Gottman Method. The Gottman Method is a style of couples therapy/treatment that uses researched based techniques to help couples achieve their best when it comes to their partnership. Through assessment and couples-centered treatment planning, Neil and the couple will formulate a tailored plan for counseling. Neil is moved and inspired working with couples who are “willing to do the work” to enhance their partnership and recover from their hurt/sorrow.

Neil believes that therapy should provide a space to reflect, a space to learn and ultimately be a worthy investment. Approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength Based Counseling, Gottman Method, Recovery Oriented Counseling are just some of the approaches that Neil utilizes in practice.

Treatment planning and goal setting are essential to track the effectiveness of therapy, and client’s should be willing to partner with Neil to come up with their specific care plan to treatment. Therapy is not a one size fits all model.
