About
When your relationship begins to feel distant, the hardest part is not always the argument—it is the silence afterward. You may feel like you are roommates, walking on eggshells, repeating the same conflicts, or wondering whether warmth, trust, and closeness can ever return.
Couples often come to therapy exhausted from trying harder but without a clear path forward. Beneath arguments about chores, money, parenting, or intimacy are usually deeper questions: Do I still matter here? Can we feel close again? What if we get hurt in the same way?
You do not have to keep guessing, pretending everything is fine, or trying harder without knowing what will actually help. As a registered psychologist with advanced Level 3 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I bring a structured, research-backed approach to helping couples identify the negative cycles that keep them stuck and develop practical skills for repair, trust, and reconnection.
My work integrates the Gottman Method with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, polyvagal theory, and trauma-informed practices. This means we pay attention not only to your communication skills, but also to your nervous system, old protective patterns, attachment injuries, and the deeper emotions beneath conflict. Together, we focus on calming escalation, reducing emotional flooding, and working through gridlocked issues, past hurts, or breaches of trust. We also work on rebuilding your friendship and affection, turning toward each other’s bids for closeness, and repairing disagreements.
Ready to take the first step?
If you are ready to rebuild warmth, safety, and teamwork in your relationship, send me a message or call to schedule a brief introductory consultation. Together, we can create a clearer path forward—one grounded in evidence, compassion, and practical steps toward reconnection.
