“True Humility is not thinking less of yourself, It’s thinking of yourself less.” - C.S. Lewis
Licensed in OH and WV
I have a passion for working with couples and families. In my almost 20 years of experienced, I've found that our relationship in marriage is a key component to learning how to accept ourselves and others as we are called to be. Humility & growing in virtue is at the core of understanding.
I enter each new therapeutic relationship with an open heart and mind, as each individual’s challenges and the struggles couples encounter, are unique and should be treated as such. My goal is to provide a place of comfort and security to facilitate individual and relational healing as well as increased connection between couples. I hope to help clients learn skills to strengthen the relationship they have with themselves and their significant other while promoting understanding and acceptance between them. Creating dialogue around difficult topics is a skill necessary for any thriving relationship. I believe working to increase self-awareness and insight is pertinent to create positive change.
Clients appreciate my honest, direct approach, as well as my ability to foster acceptance and validation while incorporating humor when appropriate. I believe in meeting all clients where they are at in life to provide support and motivation for change.
Practicing and growing in the virtues is at the core of my work. My faith, husband, and five children are central to my life. I value continual self-evaluation and discernment. This allows me to work toward becoming a better wife, mother, therapist, and exemplar of compassion.
