About
I’m Nicole Trister, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY, NJ, CT and FL, helping couples and individuals move through the places where they feel stuck. I work primarily with couples using the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening friendship, managing conflict, and rebuilding trust and connection, and I’ve completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in the method.
My approach is collaborative and unhurried. I’m not here to hand couples a rulebook, but to help them understand their own patterns, soften the cycles that keep them apart, and reconnect with what drew them together in the first place. Many of the couples I see lead demanding, visible lives, where success, money and public pressure can quietly strain a relationship. Whether you’re navigating conflict, recovering from a betrayal, or simply wanting to feel like partners again, therapy can be a space to slow down and listen, to each other and to yourselves.
I offer discreet, in-person sessions at my private office on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan and telehealth across NY, NJ, CT and FL. Reach out anytime at therapy@nicoletrister.com.
