I am passionate about working with clients to explore new ways of engaging in their lives, in relationship with others, and with the existential dilemmas inherent in all of our lives. I work with all people regardless of their current situations and challenges. I believe that our thoughts are the most powerful tools we have to work with and I work collaboratively with you to find a deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself, your life, and your relationships.
Norena practices using Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Method. She is a National Certified Counselor and a graduate of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Norena graduated summa cum laude in two majors: marriage and family therapy and clinical mental health. She is a provider for Charlotte Transgender Health and specializes in LGBTQ relationships.
