I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), former trauma chaplain, and first responder trained to work with individuals, partners, couples and families who struggle in a variety of situations. I specialize in infidelity and addictions—most notably sex, porn, and love addiction and general couples work.

My education includes the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals and The Gottman Institute being directly trained by Drs. Patrick & Stephanie Carnes, Robert Weiss and John & Julie Gottman. I studied in the Clinical Pastoral Education programs of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Advocate Lutheran General and Advocate Children's Hospital. As an ordained minister and hospital chaplain I managed the development of the Spiritual Care/Chaplaincy Office to support the Level-One trauma designation for Advocate Condell Medical Center. I served the Chicago O’Hare community as a chaplain for Skyword Ministries. My 27-year corporate career includes leading global financial aid and disaster relief programs for employees and retirees of Abbott Laboratories with The Clara Abbott Foundation.

My experience allows me to also serve pastors, clergy, church leaders of various faith traditions, police officers, firefighters, dispatchers and hospital personnel.

I also run ongoing therapeutic groups for men experiencing intimacy disorders: masturbation/porn, love/sex. co-occurring addictions, complex trauma and infidelity.
