Rachel is a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist who works with couples at all stages of life and relationship status. She is neurodiversity affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming. She specializes in working with couples where one or both partners are neurodiverse, and has a particular specialty in working with ADHD in couples.
Rachel is also intensively trained in Radically Open DBT, a therapy that focuses on overcontrol. This includes chronic treatment resistant depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and obsessive compulsive personality disorder. RODBT has been found to be helpful for individuals who are experiencing significant difficulty with emotional expression and connection, isolation, avoidance, all or nothing thinking, high rigidity and perfectionism, and harsh self-judgments.
Additionally Rachel has foundational training and supervision in DBT, and is trained in ERP and EMDR.
Rachel is passionate about helping couples learn how to improve communication, connection, and flexibility, and decrease all-or-nothing thinking, self-judgment, perfectionism, isolation, anxiety, and obsessive thoughts.
