Couples therapy is my passion and life's work. I have been described as a collaborative, straightforward therapist who cares about helping you get results. I am certified in both Gottman Method Couples Therapy (since 2012) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (since 2016) and combine these methods for helping couples in distress, including traumatic stress. I have 25+ years working with couples as a Clinical Psychologist with college counseling centers, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, and in private practice. I have extensive training and clinical experience in treating depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, including certifications in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. I have trained and supervised Masters and Doctoral level trainees in Gottman and EFCT since 2016.
