About
Hello! My name is Richard Yerry, LCSW-R. I am a psychotherapist licensed in New York and Florida, providing in-person (NY Only) and telehealth (NY & FL) therapy for individuals and couples.
I specialize in helping couples strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and move beyond patterns that leave them feeling disconnected. Many of the couples I work with have built meaningful lives together but recognize that their relationship deserves greater attention, understanding, and connection.
My couples therapy approach is grounded in the Gottman Method. I provide a balance of warmth, compassion, and practical guidance to help partners understand their unique patterns, communicate more effectively, rebuild friendship and intimacy, and develop skills that continue to serve them long after therapy ends. My role is not to take sides or decide who is right, but to help couples create a stronger partnership.
I also work with individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and personal growth. I have particular experience supporting healthcare professionals, educators, caregivers, and first responders.
I welcome individuals and couples of all backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and relationship structures. My goal is to provide a respectful, collaborative space where you feel understood and supported.
