About

I am a marriage and family therapist who specializes in helping couples and families move out of painful cycles of disconnection, misunderstanding, and repeated conflict. I work from a systemic perspective, looking at the patterns that keep you stuck and the deeper needs underneath them. My goal is to help both partners feel heard, valued, and supported—not pushed toward someone else’s idea of “normal,” but guided toward what feels healthy and authentic for your relationship.

Many couples come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, distant, or unsure how to communicate without things escalating. I incorporate principles from the Gottman Method to offer practical, research-based tools that help partners manage conflict more gently, improve communication, and rebuild trust and closeness. These skills give couples a foundation to strengthen their bond and navigate challenges more confidently.

In our work together, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy, what each of you needs to feel more connected, and what strengths you already have as a couple. We’ll also imagine what life could look like with less tension and more ease—and take steps toward that vision. I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where both partners feel safe to share openly and work toward meaningful change.

In addition to my clinical training, I am a registered nurse (BSN) and bring nearly eighteen years of experience in the business sector, which gives me a broad understanding of stress, communication, and the pressures couples face. I am a member of AAMFT and the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society (Iota Chapter).

I’ve been married for almost 35 years and have three children—two adults and one teenager. Outside the office, I enjoy running with my wife, attending baseball games, and collecting music. And while it’s not in my photo, I wear a rotating fitted baseball cap every single day.
