Jill was at her breaking point with Jack. After years of marriage, she felt more like a roommate than a wife. Jack would come home from work, exhausted, and head straight for the TV without really checking in on her day. When she tried to share how overwhelmed she felt—with the kids, the housework, and the emotional load—he often got defensive or simply shut down. Deep down, Jill still loved Jack and wanted to feel connected again, like true partners, but she knew they couldn't fix this alone.

Jack, on the other hand, felt overwhelmed in his own way. Work demands were relentless, and he carried the pressure of providing for the family. By the time he got home, he just wanted peace, not another conflict.
