I'm a psychologist specializing in relationship counseling and have been in independent practice since 2004. My work is grounded in a strong belief that we have within us the innate potential to improve upon and transform our lives. Moreover, it's my experience that relationship difficulties, conflicts and obstacles serve an important function, almost always pointing us in the direction of needed change. In other words, opportunity often comes disguised as relationship conflict. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of individuals, couples and groups in their efforts to increase self-awareness, enhance relationship functioning, live more intimately, and cope more effectively.

My work with relationship partners is strongly influenced by Gottman Method Couples Therapy. The Method, which is based on four decades of rigorous research, is practical and skills based—empowering partners to improve their communication, deepen their connection, and better-manage conflict. Even as partners are addressing emotionally difficult issues or events in therapy, the Gottman Method is designed to increase positive feelings and enhance teamwork—providing partners with the mutual understanding and skills that will serve them long after therapy is complete.

As I see it, nothing outweighs the importance of the partnerships, marriages, coworker connections, and friendships we establish. Given that, I'm committed to offering clients who are seeking to strengthen their relationships the most caring, knowledgeable, and scientifically informed services possible. I'm equally determined to provide clients with assistance that is respectful and affirming of their life experiences and of their cultural, racial/ethnic, sexual, gender and religious identities.

My practice is a virtual/teletherapy one, and I'm available to work with clients in the following states: AL, AZ, CO, DE, DC, GA, IL, KY, MD, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT and VA.
