I am the Founder of the Canadian Psychotherapy Services (CPS). As a marriage and family therapist, I am dedicated to serving couples and individuals as well as families from diverse cultural backgrounds in both Egypt and Canada. I have completed my clinical training at the Punjabi Community Health Services PCHS under the Addictions unit serving couples dealing with addiction and substance abuse and domestic violence. As a former crisis counselor at the same organization I served immigrants and refugees in navigating trauma, grief, and systemic related mental health issues. I worked in Egypt for 3 years with couples and individuals on relationship issues in group practice.
I am trauma trained, trauma informed, grief, thanatology, narcissistic abuse, affairs recovery trained therapist.
I work with clients dealing with a range of mental health and relationship issues. Such as depression, anxiety, communication issues, social anxiety, personality disorders, PTSD, T-traumas, grief, conflict resolution for couples, pre-marital therapy, dating issues for singles, divorce recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery and other forms of relationship distress.
I serve my clients using Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other systemic oriented therapies. I have worked with hundreds of couples using the Gottman approach and have successfully supported couples using the Gottman method to improve from the quality of their relationships and increase relationship satisfaction. I value working from an evidence based and human centered approach.
I am a Canadian Certified Counselor C.C.C. Certified by the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association CCPA.
I am a registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) in the province of Ontario, Canada. Regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario CRPO. I am an associate member of the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy CAMFT.
