Ghaffar (Shaahin) Malek Khosravi graduated with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and has over 20 years of international experience in the field. In his professional history, he has worked in clinics and hospitals connected with universities and private practice. His work included teaching university courses and supervising master's and doctoral students in psychology and counselling. Aside from his research on family function and music therapy, he has also participated in research on neurotherapy. He has primarily worked with couples and families, using modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, the Gottman approach, and solution-focused therapy. Additionally, he has helped many individuals with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders through eclectic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), mindfulness, schema therapy, short-term dynamic psychotherapy, narrative therapy, and reality therapy.
