About
My approach to therapy is compassionate and goal oriented. I specialize in working with couples who feel stuck in painful cycles of conflict, emotional distance, or crisis, and who often arrive feeling discouraged, or unsure whether change is possible. Drawing primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method, I help couples slow down reactive patterns, understand the primary emotions beneath conflict cycle and restore a sense of safety and connection. I view distress as a response to unmet attachment needs and accumulated relational injuries. Therapy is collaborative and structured, with clear goals, while remaining compassionate and responsive to each couple’s unique history, temperament, and values. My work emphasizes emotional regulation, accountability, and repair—teaching couples how to recognize their negative cycle and create emotional safety for one another. For clients who desire it, I integrate faith as a source of meaning, grounding, and hope. I believe healing happens when couples feel understood at a deeper level and learn new ways of managing their emotions, leading to secure bonding.
