About

Is your relationship with your partner different from what you imagined it to be? Do you want to bring back the love, respect and friendship that you long for? Are you lonely in your relationship? Are you in a long term relationship and considering marriage but are not sure your relationship is as healthy as it should be? Are you seperated or contemplating divorce? Has there been a betrayal in your realtionship you can't get past?

I look forward to meeting you and helping you take the steps towards creating a more fulfilled, deep and lasting relationship with your partner.

I have found that by using Gottman's methods in therapy, couples quickly gain insights into their partner and begin rebuilding a loving bond. Gottman's approach allows couple to learn how to manage conflict, work through betrayals, gain tools to repair old hurts, and build dreams for their future.

As a therapist I was drawn to Gottman's work because it is based on 35 years of research and clinical practice. Gottman's interventions strategies are easy to employ... and they just make sense!

Please call or email to discuss your specific situation further. My office is warm and inviting and my clients have told me that they feel at ease with my gentle yet direct style.

I graduated with a B.S in Psychology from the University of Iowa and then completed by Masters in Counseling from Loyola University in Chicago. I have been in the field for 15 years.

I honestly love what I do and I believe wholeheartedly that any relationship can greatly benefit from The Gottman Method.

Special populations

Although I treat all, I specialize in women's mental health. I have attended post-graduate training to assess and treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I also work with those who have faced infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and/or abortion. I understand the changes relationships face when children come in to the picture.

Gottman's research shows that about 70% of new parents experience a decline in marital satisfaction. You are not alone. Please call or email me to gain the skills to make this transition easier for your family.
