I am a clinical psychologist specializing in marriage therapy and individual therapy. I have been in practice since 1989 in Walnut Creek, CA. I devote a large portion of my practice to helping couples achieve the most satisfying and healthy relationships possible.
My training in The Gottman Method has deepened and enhanced my work. I find tremendous gratification in working with couples.
I served as Chief Psychology Fellow at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. I worked at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for eight years and developed a protocol for treatment of medical and pain problems. I am Ethics Chair of The Contra Costa Psychological Association. I have been a member of The American Psychological Assoication and California Psychological Association since 1989.
I specialize in helping couples with a wide variety of issues, including infidelity, parenting issues, work-life balance, conflict management, loss of romance and intimacy, sexuality, and infertility. I especially love working with couples as they face life transitions such as parenthood, empty nest, retirement, job loss, medical or pain issues, and work-life balance conflict. I teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
