It's tough to be your best self when your relationship is struggling. You might start to feel depressed, hopeless, on edge. But there's hope.
Triggers don't have to escalate into giant fights that ruin your entire night. You can communicate without misunderstanding so that you both feel heard and understood. Your relationship can once again feel stronger than ever if you're willing to be honest with each other and put in some hard work.
The process is sometimes painful and difficult. But it's also often fun. You will practice communicating in better ways, learn new skills for compromise, and get to know each other on a deeper level.
I specialize in helping couples manage conflict, as well as helping neurodiverse and multicultural couples improve their relationships. In addition to all 3 levels of Gottman training, I have completed training in Emotion Focused Therapy, psychodynamic therapy for couples, and ACT for couples. I've been living and breathing couples therapy for more than 5 years and deeply value this work.
I meet with couples either in-person in Rochester, NY or online via Zoom.
