About
Whether you're in a period of missed communication and conflict, or you're just looking for a relationship "checkup", couples counseling can be a great way to reconnect with your partner in a safe, non-judgmental space that's geared toward your joint goals. In couples counseling, there's no taking sides and no winning. Instead, it's all about building mutual understanding and finding a path forward that works for both of you.
I use an eccletic approach to couples counseling, bringing in ideas and techniques from Gottman, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). In non-therapy speak, that means that I have a lot of tools in my toolkit that I bring out depending on the individual needs of my clients. My goal as your couples counselor is to help you understand your partner, find solutions that work for both of you, and build a mutually fulfilling life together.
I also have a passion for working with parenthood, including transitions to parenthood, co-parenting, and a focus on the perinatal population. I am trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International.
