My primary focus is working with clients who want to create healthier relationships and have more fulfilling connections. This can be for couples or singles. Issues related to family of origin, friendships, intimate relationships, work relationships, and relationships within families are often addressed in sessions. I also have experience with those struggling with anxiety, worry, and stress. In relationship counseling creating a positive bond between therapist and client is key. You can then take what you have learned about yourself through a healthy and secure connection and use it in your real world relationships. Having healthy relationships takes self knowledge and work and it can be overwhelming when you have relationships in your life that are not working. By bringing those issues into therapy you can understand more about what is really happening in your current relationships as well as develop tools you can use to create healthier connections in the future. I use a combination of techniques based on attachment theory, Imago Therapy, and Gottman couples therapy. I believe that relationships are of primary importance in our well being, not only mentally, but also physically, spiritually, and socially.
