Appalachian Christian Counseling is a non-denominational Christian outreach to individuals and families in crisis founded by Thaddeus and Joyce Noto in the Tri-Cities, Tennessee. We seek to strengthen the hurting through a Christian Counseling ministry to people of all kinds in Kingsport, Johnson City, & Gray, TN. Our focus is in the area of counseling and encouraging anyone in crisis--whether from family strife, medical problems, financially tough times, depression, divorce, or spiritual uncertainty. I have broad experience in counseling: served as a pastor in Tennessee, Kansas and NY; therapist in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, hospital chaplain; and clinical supervisor for a residential substance abuse facility. Currently accepting new patients! I offer Christian counseling, consulting and referral services for marital problems, antisocial behavior, and other interpersonal problems. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and have received training in the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and the STEPPS program for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
