About

Every relationship has the potential to deepen and improve. Many relationships will at some point go through crisis and major hardship. Whether or not things are currently going well, there's an opportunity right now to build connection and resilience in your relationship, to learn better communication techniques, and to figure out together what you want your lives to be about.

As your relationship therapist, I'll be your expert coach supporting that process.

In our work together, we’ll form a collaborative team while we clarify your goals for therapy, and you’ll learn research-backed skills and concepts, and identify ways to put therapy into practice. Part of my role will be to keep us all accountable, so that session by session we’re staying on track and working towards positive, real-world change.

Mindfulness will likely be a part of our work. There are countless ways we get puppeted about by our patterns of avoidance and clinging, by our habits, and by our past stressors and trauma. Mindfulness can give us the super power to be in the present and to respond rather than react. It can help each of us become more like the person and partner we aspire to be.

Although I enjoy working with many types of clients, there are a few I'm particularly interested in supporting.
* If you or your partner has a history of trauma that seems to be affecting the relationship, we can work on that together.
* If you're part of a modern family, e.g. you're co-parenting or you're consensually non-monogamous, and you want help creating something custom that works for you, I'd love to help.
* If ADD/ADHD is a stressor in the relationship, we can find better ways to discuss and work on that in therapy.
