About

My approach to couples therapy is grounded in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based model that helps couples improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen emotional connection.

Many couples seek therapy when they feel stuck in recurring patterns. You may find yourselves having the same arguments without resolution, struggling to communicate without escalation or shutdown, or feeling increasingly disconnected. This often leads to frustration, distance, and a sense of being misunderstood.

Some couples come in following a rupture, such as infidelity or a breach of trust, while others are navigating external stressors—such as demanding careers or major life transitions—that are impacting their relationship.

In our work together, I focus on identifying and shifting these interaction patterns using structured, research-based interventions. This includes building effective communication skills, reducing patterns such as criticism, defensiveness, and withdrawal, and strengthening your ability to repair after conflict. We also work to rebuild trust, deepen friendship, and create a stronger foundation within the relationship.

I integrate elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches to support emotional awareness and responsiveness.

For couples facing more complex challenges, I offer extended couples intensives (4–6 hours), allowing for deeper, more focused work.

Treatment is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to your needs, with the aim of creating meaningful and lasting change.
