Monday through Friday 8pm-8pm; Weekend availability for out-of-town clients and marathon therapy
Trish Stanley is the founder and CEO of The Center for Couples Therapy, a San Diego based multi-provider practice integrating the best in contemporary couples therapy approaches which are then finely honed to meet the needs of our clients. Among the approaches we consider when customizing a therapy plan for our clients are Ellyn Bader's Developmental Model (all our therapist are in the training), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, including certified and certification track therapists, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with therapists in supervision to become certified. With such a rich palette of understandings and tools, and therapists passionate about couples therapy and lifelong learning, we focus closely on what works with each struggling couple or individual with relationship issues. We remain nimble enough to bring in resources from video, literature and the arts, and special learnings from other approaches to provide optimal support for our clients. In addition to providing therapy with a roster of five deeply experienced and compassionate couples therapists, we offer couples workshops, marathon couples therapy and private retreats. We also present consultation groups, Gottman Therapist training, and other resources to clinicians and other professions and groups. This October 22 & 23, we are offering The Art & Science of Love, A Gottman Couples Weekend Workshop. (See website for details.)
We offer Integrative Couples Therapy, Consultation and Training. We are a multi-clinician couples therapy practice with flexible scheduling, Couples Weekend Workshops, and parenting classes. Frequently arising issues include infidelity and other betrayals, blended and two-career couples, fertility, postpartum and parenting challenges, differences about money, sex and role expectations. Often we assist couples searching for an answer to the question of whether or not to stay together. We provide premarital therapy, help with the challenges with long-term, empty nest, retirement, and sexually dormant marriages, bi-cultural and same sex couples, elders relationships, and health and aging complications.
