I have just under 2 decades practice working with couples, families, and individuals. I love using the Gottman Method and find the skill-building, communication, and assessment aspects especially helpful in providing couple, family, as well as individual therapy. I have utilized aspects of this model since being a graduate student and am well versed with aspects of this model for a long time.

I utilize attachment-focused and other system-based models, too; I utilize spiritual belief-systems (of the client's) when that fits in therapy.

I do online treatment but prefer to do in-person work with couples and families; sometimes I can regularly utilize tele-therapy for specific cases.

I believe in people’s own wisdom and listen with the intent to help people follow their own values.  I believe in empowering clients; I practice therapy in such a way as to help my clients lead therapy with my guidance and input; clients are the decision-makers. I work within parenting, couple, and intrapersonal relationships to reconcile and unify.

I focus often in therapy on self-attunement and then in the resulting informed coping which more naturally springs from accurate knowing oneself. I believe in increasing coping strategies for each partner in a couple system and then in the partnership, for people dealing with trauma (and many others). I believe we all need to focus on healthy coping including increasing healthy routines/practices, boundaries, strengthened relationships, spirituality, and other interests. This is where therapy often starts with me, then when people need to do more intense work (conflict resolution, planning with and for life, addressing loss and/or crisis or trauma) they are more prepared to face hard things and less likely to de-compensate.

I have hope in life, people, and in relationships.
