As a licensed psychologist, providing therapy and counseling for over 20 years, I can help you make sense of the conditions that give rise to your problems, and facilitate the search for new perspectives and interventions that work for you. I aim to provide a safe and accepting setting in which to explore concerns. In case you’re wondering who comes to my psychology practice, the following may help:

My background includes training in family therapy and the practice of school psychology, so I am comfortable working with children and teens, and their parents.
Adults often come to see me regarding depression or anxiety, but concerns may also include anger management, work related difficulties, and coping with the challenges of young adulthood and mid-life. I have worked with the elderly in nursing homes and physical rehabilitation settings as well. Over the past several years I have been furthering my training in mindfulness based approaches and incorporating these into the work I do.

Couples therapy, or marriage counseling, is an area of specialization. I have been trained in the Gottman Method, a scientifically researched and highly practical approach to helping relationships in distress, and strengthening those where there’s a need.

My goal is to help you realize positive change in a time effective way. I hope you'll take a few minutes to explore the website at If you have any questions please give me a call. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation during which you can share concerns and get a better sense of how we might work together.

Special populations

I work with couples of all ages and sexual orientation. Much of my individual work with adults often focuses on relationship issues. The Gottman Method provides a helpful framework for individuals as well as couples themselves to better understand the dynamics of their intimate relationship.

I have training in divorce mediation but limit these services largely to helping separating parents work out custody / visitation agreements

My experience includes helping children and adults cope with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder and learning disabilities.
