About

A deeply committed and loving relationship can challenge you to your very core. Close relationships trigger our feelings from the past, our deepest insecurities, and sometimes bring our worst selves out into the open. Growing together through love takes you-individually and as a couple-to greater heights and depths than you ever imagined.
I am dedicated to assisting couples experiencing: power differential's, arguments over finances, parenting styles, cultural issues/getting along with each others family of origin. As well as: differing sex drives, lack of intimacy, infidelity, adjusting to being parents or empty-nester's, substance abuse.
"It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages."-Nietzsche
I support each of you in understanding how unresolved issues from childhood or past relationships impact your current relationship; enhancing confidence in yourself and one another. Our work will involve: * assessment and evaluation; creation of a therapeutic contract based on your vision for your relationship, goals, strengths, & areas for growth; *identifying attachment styles; *recognizing unhealthy coping mechanisms and acquiring tools to alter them; *enhancing your friendship; *rebuilding trust: *focusing on the positive aspect of your relationship; *improving communication; *creating shared meaning and rituals; *learning effective ways to manage conflict; *recovering from infidelity; *attaining useful tools to self-soothe, accept influence from one another; *acknowledge and cease perpetual negative patterns of conflict avoidance and/or constant fighting; *agreement on roles; and much more.
