‘Working as a relationship & family therapist in the Netherlands and in Nairobi over 25 years I witnessed that everywhere in the world the foundation of life is determined by relationships. I have over two decades experience in MST | 'Multi Systemic Therapy', MDFT | 'Multi Dimensional Family Therapy' and intergenerational therapy.

Since 2021 I am trained in EFCT I 'Emotionally Focused Therapy' (Level 1 & Level 2) and in the process of international certification by an intense individual EFCT supervision trajectory.

On top of this I travelled through more than thirty countries and worked as a counsellor in the Netherlands, India, Ghana and Kenya with the most divers clients in different settings.

I help individuals, couples and families who feel stuck in life with themselves, their private relationships or their environment to gain control again and redesign their life.

I use evidence-based methods from cognitive, systemic, intergenerational, Gottman and EFCT couples therapy to carefully challenge my clients on a mental, emotional and social level to reconstruct unhealthy patterns.

I am known as a pragmatic and barefoot counsellor. I coach my clients closely and carefully in order to create ownership of their life. I always ‘lead them from one step behind’, whereas my proactive, respectful and curious attitude is the most valuable tool in my work.

My client’s needs are my starting point and I always include key influencers from the clients’ context who contribute positively to the desirable change.
