About

These services strive to strengthen your greatest source of support, your primary relationship. Services are typically provided using The Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, which begins with a multifaceted assessment including personal histories, communication patterns, challenges, strengths and dreams. While in session couples are encouraged to engage verbally with each other as they would at home. Guidance and coaching is provided, including structured activities which introduce, explore and practice Gottman communication and relationship techniques and concepts. Positive and healthy methods of dealing with conflicts are nurtured while strengthening and building the couple's sense of friendship and connection.

Additional therapy methods are often integrated including: Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Trauma Empowerment Model, Person Centered, and Solution Focused, as appropriate.

Services are provided in a vintage early 1900's colonial home shared with other counselors. Every effort is made to provide an environment and experience based upon comfort, trust, respect and safety; in every sense.
