Through years of working with couples and completing specialized training, I have come to understand how past emotional experiences can shape current relationships and how our values can be at the core of our healing. Through a structured treatment process, I can help guide you and your partner toward a more fulfilling partnership.
I have certification & training in Gottman Method Levels 1,2,3 (Couples) as well as in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I use these treatments as a framework to help you and your partner gain progress and improve your overall relationship.
At the core of my practice are my values of compassion, authenticity, and empowerment. I am dedicated to helping couples navigate life’s challenges with tools that promote resilience, healing, and connection. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, therefore I work diligently with you and your partner to ensure you feel understood and that you have specific tools to explore your emotions, strengthen your connection and enhance your communication.
I also use “attachment theory” which emphasizes the original bond (or lack of thereof) between a person and their original caregiver, to provide clients a context for understanding their interpersonal struggles with their partners as I believe healing can occur in relationships.
Additionally, I help partners through the traumatic recovery of infidelity. The Gottman’s utilize a trauma-based approach that promotes transparency, trauma processing and recreating a foundation of trust.
