My name is Dr. Yasmin Magdy. I am the Founder and Managing Director of the American centre for psychiatry & psychology in Egypt and GAIA wellbeing.
I hold a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University and Masters degree with the focus of Marriage and Family therapy from Calsouthern University, USA.
I am Gottman Trained in Levels 1, 2 & 3 from the Gottman Institute.
I hold 18 years of clinical work in different clinical settings and establishments around the Middle East including, Egypt, KSA, UAE & Bahrain and held the head of the psychology department position at John Hopkins hospital, Aramco, KSA and the Behman hospital in egypt.

Suicide risk assessment and self-harm, the bulk of my work focuses on Marital and Couples therapy.
I strongly believe in a person-centered approach to therapy where the individual’s needs determine the
course of intervention. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, with training and experience in a wide
range of mental health issues. I employ the Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques and methods in my
practice in-order to develop emotional regulation and skill building.
My practice is routed in positive psychology and solution focused approaches as well as
incorporates other approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy depending on the needs of the
individual and the Gottman methods and interventions with couples.
