Christina (Sung Aie) Choi
Dr. Choi has a MS in Psychology from Columbia University and a PhD from The U of Chicago. She got her clinical training in Frankfurt, Germany, and became the first certified Gottman Therapist in Asia. Choi is also the master trainer of HeartMath Institute of California.
She taught psychology at Finlandia U and Michigan Tech U. In Korea, Choi currently conducts Gottman Level I, II, III trainings and supervision leading to certification. She gives professional workshops on trauma, resilience, neuropsychology, family constellation, and attachment trauma & recovery.
Choi appears regularly on TV and was a host of very successful TV talk show. She has made more than a dozen TV documentaries on marriage, parenting & education. Her TV documentary on motherhood was awarded The Best Program and she was chosen as one of the three most influential women in Korea.
Dr. Choi has authored several bestsellers and gives public talks to very wide range of audience, including the entire staff of the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Education. She conducts a yearly workshop on HeartMath resilience to all cadets of Naval Academy. The HeartMath Institute granted a Humanitarian Award to her and her husband for their services to 22,000 orphans and children at risk in Korea, Philippines, Mexico, Brazil, and Guatemala.
Choi is the Co-Founder, Co-Director (with her husband) of HD Institute of Resilience and Positivity, which provides workshops for professionals. The Institute also offers “Seeds of Happiness”, a free educational program, teaching Emotion Coaching to hundreds of daycare centers staff & parents in impoverished areas and to workers of UNICEF. She and her husband Peck hope to make this world safer and happier place for all, especially for children.
