About

I am trained in Level 3 Gottman Therapy. My approach in couple’s session is to be active and present, to disrupt toxic and unproductive communication patterns and teach effective skills. I offer a compassionate & goal directed oriented therapeutic flow with couples. My areas of passion and expertise are working around issues of chronic stress in the relationship, adjustments in parenting, trauma effect on the relationship, infidelity, faulty and toxic communication patterns. My mission in couple's therapy is to help create a more open & expressive space within the therapeutic process for deeper understanding, connection & happiness using proven techniques from the Gottman Institute & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles.
I use a collaborative approach when working with couples who need help in resolve ongoing issues and with couples may need a relationship “tune-up” to better enhance and maintain the strength and passion of their partnerships.
I use the Gottman “Sound Relationship House” as a blueprint for couple’s work. I meet with both partners for our 1st session to learn more about your relationship strengths & challenges. After the first session, both partners will be asked to do a brief online assessment so that I may gather more information on the relationship’s history, areas of concern, underlying issues, patterns of communication. I strive to make our sessions lively and creative I believe that using humor in a couple’s session (when appropriate) can have the sessions be more meaningful and powerful. Couple’s usually are given reinforcement homework to make new skills a more permanent and healthy part of their relationship.

I pride myself on staying current in the ever-changing mental health world. I additionally pride myself on being effective in my treatment outcomes with my couples. Wouldn't it make sense to work with someone who has years of experience in drastically helping others to self-improve?
